Welcome to the IAJJC Blog

The mission of the IAJJC is to provide a forum for local Juvenile Justice Councils (JJC) to work together for children youth, and families of Illinois.

The primary objective of the IAJJC is to assist county and circuit-wide JJC to:

  • Develop community-based inter-agency assessment of their local JJC.
  • Develop a juvenile justice plan for the prevention of juvenile delinquency.
  • More effectively utilize existing community resources in dealing with juveniles who are found to be involved in crime, who are truant, or who have been suspended or expelled from school.
